Former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is set to face social media personality Bob Menery in a celebrity mixed martial arts bout on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The event, titled Brand Risk 14, will take place at the UFC Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Organized by streamer Adin Ross through his promotional company, Brand Risk Promotions, the event will be broadcast live starting at 11 p.

m. ET across multiple streaming platforms including YouTube, Kick, Twitch, X, and TikTok.

UFC CEO Dana White, a close friend of Ross who is expected to attend, placed a $10,000 bet that Menery would fail to appear for the matchup, as reported by bloodyelbow.

Fighters officially took to the stage for final weigh-ins on Friday, May 22, 2026, amid claims from Menery that the main event was in jeopardy due to Manziel struggling to meet the agreed weight requirements.

"My weight is on track to be perfect," wrote Menery via social media posts.

The influencer had to intentionally gain weight to make the fight feasible against the former Heisman Trophy winner, who historically weighed around 210 pounds during his football career.

"Manziel may come in 5lb over. What should my demands be?"

asked Menery.

The podcaster further detailed the physical contrast between the two competitors in separate online statements regarding his preparation.

"Johnny is burning calories. I'm force eating.

This is so great. I'll be good," stated Menery.

The two headliners share a previous connection through Fan Controlled Football, an arena football league where Manziel played from 2021 to 2022 for a team co-owned by Menery.

"Fight still happens only if I decide to accept to fight if Johnny misses. Which I will 'cuz I'm a savage.

But someone is paying for it," added Menery.

According to sportingnews.

com, Menery also expressed concerns regarding the significant physical advantages held by the younger and taller former NFL star.

"I have so many disadvantages in this thing.

He's got me by 25 pounds and I have to, like, just try to force myself to eat 24/7 for regulation s—," said Menery.
