The 24-year-old attacker has already joined his new teammates ahead of the upcoming Premier Sports Cup campaign.

Metsoko, standing at 6-foot-3, moved to Viktoria Plzen in February 2024 on a three-year contract after scoring nine goals in 16 games for MFK Vyškov.

He previously developed at the Auxerre academy in France.

Metsoko later played on loan for Slovan Bratislava, helping them reach the UEFA Champions League group stage, and Spartak Trnava, where he scored three goals in his first four matches.

Internationally, he scored on his debut for Togo in March 2026.

Manager and Player React to Move

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin expressed his enthusiasm regarding the new reinforcement for his attacking frontline.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be able to bring Idjessi to the club and can't wait to get to work with him," said Jim Goodwin.

The manager highlighted the physical and technical attributes of the forward, noting his recent European and international achievements as indicators of his readiness for Scottish football.

"He's a powerful, explosive forward with great feet for a striker and quick across the ground, so he possesses all the attributes we felt we needed when looking for another forward," said Jim Goodwin.
