Singer-songwriter FKA Twigs has officially resolved her legal dispute against her former partner Shia LaBeouf in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The agreement was reached before the case proceeded to court trials, according to reporting by Yahoo News and The Hollywood Reporter on October 7, 2026.
Twigs requested the full dismissal of the suit after both parties agreed that the contested confidentiality language would be formally voided.
The underlying legal battle originated from a December 2020 lawsuit in which Twigs accused LaBeouf of sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress during their relationship between July 2018 and May 2019.
LaBeouf previously denied all allegations of abuse.
The recent dispute began when LaBeouf accused Twigs of violating the settlement terms resolving those previous abuse allegations, leading to a legal challenge over an illegal non-disclosure agreement.
Court filings confirm LaBeouf agreed that the disputed nondisclosure provisions are now terminated and void, allowing Twigs to discuss her experiences and support charitable causes without fear of reprisal.
"Twigs stood up for something larger than herself, all female survivors of sexual abuse," said Mathew Rosengart, attorney for Twigs.
Her legal counsel emphasized the significance of the resolution following previous legal proceedings initiated by the actor.
"On the heels of Mr LaBeouf's now-dismissed, failed December 2025 arbitration against Twigs, this important victory completely frees her to discuss her experience, advocate for other women who might be less privileged, and support the charitable causes of her choice," said Rosengart.
LaBeouf's legal team also confirmed the resolution between the two parties.
"Shia wishes Twigs nothing but the best in her life and career and, to that end, has agreed to end their long-standing dispute.
Twigs has spoken about this matter for years, and there is now nothing to prevent her from continuing to do so," said Shawn Holley, attorney for LaBeouf.
