50 Cent Uses Super Bowl DoorDash Ad to Revive Longstanding Celebrity Feuds

50 cent--

Rapper 50 Cent has turned his 2026 Super Bowl commercial for DoorDash into a pointed tour of his most infamous celebrity rivalries, reinforcing his reputation as one of hip-hop’s most relentless provocateurs.

The advertisement centers on a DoorDash delivery bag filled with symbolic items, each serving as a reference to a past feud. The jokes unfold quickly, making the context easy to miss for viewers unfamiliar with the artist’s pop culture history.

Throughout the commercial, 50 Cent pulls items from the bag while delivering brief lines that double as inside jokes aimed at figures he has clashed with over the years.

Floyd Mayweather Reference

The first item revealed is a children’s book titled “Learning Your ABC,” widely interpreted as a dig at boxer Floyd Mayweather. The rapper has long mocked Mayweather over claims that he struggles with reading.

The jab recalls a public challenge in which 50 Cent once offered to donate $750,000 to a charity of Mayweather’s choice if the boxer could read a single page from a Harry Potter book.

The two were previously close friends before a business-related dispute in 2012 led to a bitter and ongoing feud.

Ja Rule Callback

Later in the commercial, 50 Cent produces an old-fashioned alarm clock and remarks, “I’m always on time.” The line is widely seen as a reference to Ja Rule’s hit song “Always on Time.”

The moment also alludes to Ja Rule’s prison sentence from 2011 to 2013 on weapon and tax-related charges.

The rivalry between the two rappers dates back to 1999 and remains one of the longest-running feuds in hip-hop history.

Sean Combs Allusions

Several items in the bag appear aimed at Sean “Diddy” Combs, including cheese puffs, a comb, and a bottle of cognac. Each item plays on Combs’ nickname and public controversies.

When presenting the cognac, 50 Cent remarks that it has been aged “four years, or 50 months,” a pointed reference to Combs’ four-year prison sentence on interstate prostitution charges.

The tension between the two artists traces back to 2006, when 50 Cent publicly accused Combs of involvement in the murder of The Notorious B.I.G., allegations Combs has repeatedly denied.

Since then, the rapper has continued to mock Combs publicly and recently served as an executive producer on a Netflix documentary examining allegations of sexual misconduct connected to Combs.

The DoorDash commercial compresses decades of public disputes into a short, fast-moving Super Bowl spot, relying heavily on cultural memory and long-running grudges for its punchlines.
