Land Rover has never offered a pickup version of the Defender, but Urban Automotive has stepped in to fill the void.

The British tuner unveiled its two-door truck conversion, called the Widetrack Avontur, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The build is based on a Defender 110 Hard Top commercial vehicle.

Urban Automotive removed the rear part of the roof and added carbon trim and a matching spoiler.

The rear doors were deleted, and the body now features fender extensions, 23-inch alloy wheels, a sharper splitter, and a custom hood.

The standout element is the exposed carbon fiber bed. It includes a modular utility rail system, a bottle holder, and a working tailgate.

To maintain structural rigidity, the company added bespoke reinforcements, including a rollover framework. The conversion uses more than 36 custom components.

Buyers can choose from different carbon fiber finishes in gloss or matte. The Avontur follows similar coachbuilt Defender pickups from sister brand Heritage Customs.

Defender Octa Styling Program

Urban Automotive also launched a styling package for the Defender Octa at Goodwood.

The flagship Defender gains a bulged hood, aero add-ons, front bumper garnish, wide fender extensions, a rear spoiler, a custom spare wheel cover, and carbon exhaust surrounds.

The parts feature a forged carbon fiber pattern reminiscent of Mansory designs.

The prototype rides on gold 23-inch Vossen forged alloy wheels, with matching accents contrasting against the blue bodywork.

Urban Automotive has opened expressions of interest for the Avontur pickup and is accepting immediate orders for the Octa program.
