Top Teams Face Off

This matchup features the 2024 Olympic gold medalists against the 2023 Women's World Cup champions. Both teams are preparing for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

The friendlies will also serve as a tune-up for the US ahead of the Concacaf W Championship in late November.

That tournament is crucial for World Cup qualification in the Concacaf region.

The US last played in June against Brazil, splitting two friendlies with one win and one loss.

Spain qualified for the 2027 tournament with a strong performance, finishing World Cup qualifying with five wins and one loss and a plus-18 goal difference.

This will also be the 18th and 19th instances where the US women's team plays against the top two ranked teams in the world.

The US has an undefeated record in all prior such matchups.
