Alexia Putellas is set to make her 150th appearance for Spain during the team's American tour.

The Barcelona midfielder will join a group of historic players who have reached 150 or more international matches, according to AS.

Putellas has built one of Spain's most decorated international careers, with major tournament appearances and 42 goals to her name.

From Debut in Denmark to World Cup Glory

Her senior career began on June 28, 2013, in Vejle, Denmark, when Ignacio Quereda called her up at age 19 after her success with Spain's youth teams.

She entered at halftime in her debut and later earned a place in the squad for the 2013 European Championship.

At that tournament, she scored the winning goal against England after coming on in the 74th minute.

Her international path continued through the 2015 World Cup, the 2017 European Championship, and the 2019 World Cup in France.

Putellas missed the 2022 European Championship after suffering a serious knee ligament injury before Spain's opening match.

She returned for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where Spain finished as champions.

She played three matches as a starter at that World Cup and also appeared as a substitute in Sydney.

She later helped Spain finish as European runners-up and win two Nations League titles, including the 2025 edition as a leading figure.

Her international record stands at 149 matches and 42 goals, according to AS.

Her two most recent goals came against England and helped Spain secure qualification for the World Cup in Brazil.

Spain will face the United States in Chester, Philadelphia, in the second match of its American tour.

The match comes after Spain's victory over the United States in Washington.

Spain will be without Athenea after her red card suspension, while Irene is available.

Adriana Nanclares is expected to start in goal, and Putellas wants to play to complete her 150th international appearance.
