Vojvodina suffered a 3-0 defeat against Ferencvaros on July 16, 2026, after an early red card severely disrupted their defensive plan in the opening minutes of the match.

An error across the entire backline led to an ejection early in the game, forcing Vojvodina to play a man down and leading to subsequent individual defensive mistakes.

Head coach Miroslav Tanjga addressed the defeat, noting that the early ejection effectively determined the match's direction.

Tanjga acknowledged the superior performance of their opponent while reflecting on the tactical lesson learned from the result as the team shifts focus to upcoming fixtures.

Sve velikan do velikana," stated Tanjga.

The coach highlighted the continuous nature of the sport and the importance of maintaining professional focus across the squad.

Tanjga further cited lapses in player focus and physical preparation delays as contributing factors to the performance.
