No. 12 Utah football defeated Kansas 41-24 on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.

The win pushed the Utes to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Big 12 play, but it did not come easily.

Utah had to overcome struggles on both offense and defense before securing the result.

Dampier and Parker Lead Utah's Offense

Senior quarterback Devon Dampier recorded 238 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 71 rushing yards.

Running back Wayshawn Parker added 171 rushing yards and two touchdowns to lead Utah.

Kansas scored 10 unanswered points before halftime after Utah led 21-7 with 10:17 remaining in the second quarter.

The Jayhawks cut the deficit to 21-17 at halftime after Utah turnovers.

Kansas quarterback Isaiah Marshall threw for 333 yards and two touchdowns after initially completing four of his first 10 passes against Utah's secondary.

Dampier's performance changed after two first-half turnovers.

Kansas converted both mistakes into touchdowns, but Utah's quarterback later guided the offense to two second-half passing touchdowns.

One of Dampier's second-half scoring passes went to offensive lineman Semi Taulanga, who was described as a "rhino" on the play.

Taulanga also helped create space for Parker's 90-yard touchdown run on the next Utah possession.

Utah's defense made a key stop with 8:31 remaining in the fourth quarter when it stopped Marshall short of the goal line and forced a turnover on downs.

Parker's long touchdown run helped secure the victory after Kansas stayed within reach into the fourth quarter.

Utah will next travel to face Colorado at 8:15 p. m.

MDT next Saturday in Boulder, Colorado.
