Nicole Scherzinger kept performing on the Pussycat Dolls' PCD Forever Tour after suffering burns from boiling water backstage before a show in Dusseldorf, Germany.

She appeared in Newcastle on Friday evening with Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt despite the injury.

The singer said the accident happened about an hour before she was due on stage, when boiling water spilled onto her lower body.

She later shared images showing red marks on her inner thigh and a scar on her lower leg.

In a social media post, she explained her decision to perform: "Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set.

But the show must go on. Thanks Dusseldorf for keeping me going.

See you soon Amsterdam!"

Scherzinger continued the tour with Roberts and Wyatt, with performances featuring Pussycat Dolls hits and solo songs.

The group maintained its scheduled appearances after the backstage incident.

Ashley Roberts Details the Injury

Ashley Roberts later described the severity of Scherzinger's injury during an appearance on Heart Breakfast, where she also discussed physical challenges affecting the group members.

"Kim has a new hip, I've got a lower back situation, Nic's neck is doing things.

But, you know, we are getting out there and we are doing it," Roberts said.

Roberts said Scherzinger was injured while using a clothes steamer backstage and explained that the burn affected her inner thigh before the performance.

"I don't know how she has been on stage performing. It blistered with puss.

I mean, she's going to be scarred for life for sure. And she had it wrapped up limping to the stage," Roberts said.

Roberts added that the audience's support helped the group continue performing despite injuries and physical discomfort during the tour.

"You don't feel any pain when you are on that stage because it's all love," Roberts said.

Roberts also spoke about sharing a personal video with fans before the tour, saying she had considered not posting it because of vulnerability and fear.

"I'm so glad that I did.

But you know, it's an inner battle that we face sometimes where we have our inner saboteur coming in there and trying to destroy the joy," Roberts said.

The incident drew support from Scherzinger's followers after she posted a photo captioned about the difference between what audiences see and what they do not see.

"What they see vs. what they don't see..." Scherzinger wrote.

One follower also responded to her injury post with a message of support: "God heal Nicole of any pain."
