Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson delivered a commanding performance in the women's 200-meter race at the Xiamen Diamond League on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The two-time 200m world champion finished with a time of 21.87 seconds, breaking the meeting record and missing the world lead by just 0.01 seconds.

Jackson led from the start and pulled away on the bend to secure her second consecutive victory in China, following her win in Shanghai/Keqiao the previous weekend in 22.07 seconds.

Bahamian runner Shaunae Miller-Uibo took second place with a season's best of 22.04 seconds, while American Anavia Battle finished third in 22.29 seconds.

American sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson crossed the line in fourth place, also recording a season's best of 22.38 seconds.

Great Britain's Amy Hunt placed seventh in the nine-runner field.

Other Highlights from Xiamen

In the women's javelin event, 18-year-old Chinese athlete Yan Ziyi threw 71.74 meters to move to second place on the world all-time list.
