Feyenoord forward Raheem Sterling was arrested in Hampshire, England, on Thursday morning after crashing his Lamborghini into a guardrail on the M3 motorway.
The incident occurred near the Minley Interchange around 9:00 a. m.

The 31-year-old former England international was detained at the scene on multiple charges, including dangerous driving and drug possession.
Police Statement on Arrest
Hampshire police stated that the driver, a 31-year-old man from Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, dangerous driving, possession of a Class C drug, and failing to provide a specimen.

Under British drug laws, Class C substances include tranquilizers, anabolic steroids, and nitrous oxide. Cannabis is Class B, while cocaine and heroin are Class A.
Sterling was released on bail as the investigation continues.

He joined Feyenoord in February on a short-term contract after leaving Chelsea and has recorded one assist in eight Eredivisie appearances under coach Robin van Persie.
