Vitória secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Fortaleza in the first leg of the Copa do Nordeste final on Tuesday night at Castelão.

More than 30,000 fans attended the match, which remained goalless in the first half.

Fortaleza took the lead in the 54th minute when Vitinho scored from outside the penalty box.

Vitória equalized in the 83rd minute through a penalty converted by Renato Kayser, a former Fortaleza striker.

The winning goal came in stoppage time, with Argentine Diego Tarzia finding the net in the 47th minute.

Second Leg Decisive

Vitória now needs only a draw in the second leg at Barradão on Saturday to claim the title.

Fortaleza must win to keep their hopes alive.
