The United States fields world number two Fabiano Caruana and world number three Hikaru Nakamura.

They are joined by world number seven Wesley So, along with Leinier Domínguez and Levon Aronian, ranked 17th and 22nd globally.

Uzbekistan counters with world number four Nodirbek Abdusattorov and world number six Javokhir Sindarov. The team also includes Nodirbek Yakubboev, Shamsiddin Vokhidov, and Mukhiddin Madaminov.
