US professional boxer Hannah Rapp died on Saturday after a vehicle struck her while she was riding a bicycle in Texas.
The Brazos County Sheriff's Office reported that Rapp was cycling with another rider when a driver passed them, stopped, and reversed into her.

Authorities arrested 31-year-old Charles Medina in connection with the incident. He faces a single count of manslaughter under Texas law, defined as recklessly causing a person's death.
Rapp was pronounced dead at a hospital. Officials described the case as an isolated incident and said the investigation remains active.
Boxing Community Mourns
Tributes poured in from the boxing world. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said, "The loss of Hannah Rapp leaves us heartbroken.
She was an exceptional boxer, but above all, an invaluable member of our boxing family."
Rapp, from Yorktown, Indiana, had eight wins, five by knockout, and one draw in her first nine professional bouts.

In her tenth fight, she challenged Tiara Brown for the WBC women's featherweight title. Brown won by unanimous decision.
Brown paid tribute on social media, calling Rapp "the best dance partner" she had faced.
"We fought a GREAT fight for the fans from the first bell to the last," Brown wrote. "It was my honor to share the ring with her."
Jail records show Medina remained in custody as of Sunday with no bond set. He has prior arrests for reckless driving, assault causing bodily injury, and deadly conduct.

A manslaughter conviction could result in two to 20 years in prison.
