Senator Mitch McConnell released a statement expressing profound shock and sadness following the sudden passing of fellow lawmaker Senator Lindsey Graham on Saturday night.

Preliminary findings from a medical examiner, released by Graham's office, indicate that the prominent South Carolina Republican succumbed to a suspected aortic tear linked to the hardening of his arteries.

McConnell Honors Graham's Legacy

In a public message shared via Facebook, McConnell honored his late colleague by highlighting his character and dedication to public service.

"His constituents and colleagues have counted on his straight talk, conviction, and boundless appetite for a worthy fight," stated McConnell.
