Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman criticized Donald Trump on Sunday for continuing to challenge the 2020 presidential election results.
He urged the former president to focus on resolving the US war in Iran instead.

Fetterman made the remarks on CNN's State of the Union.
He was responding to Trump's recent primetime address alleging Chinese interference in his 2020 defeat to Joe Biden.
"I don't know why the president is dragging up all this stuff," Fetterman said. He emphasized that the election outcome had been decided years ago.
"You're the president.
Do something positive – and you are talking about 2020; that's been settled over six years ago," Fetterman added.
The senator noted that revisiting the election distracts from major national priorities.

"It's deeply unhelpful and that distracts [from] important things, especially like the Iranian war right now," he said.
Fetterman's Political Stance
The interview came during a pivotal moment in Fetterman's career. On Wednesday, he indicated he might consider leaving the Democratic Party if it became "the anti-Israel party."
This followed a vote by over 100 US House lawmakers supporting a halt to military aid to Israel over operations in Gaza and Lebanon.
Fetterman has emerged as a key Democratic supporter of Israel. He rejected Republican efforts to recruit him, citing fundamental policy disagreements.
Intelligence assessments from 2021 previously confirmed that no foreign entity, including China, altered technical voting processes during the 2020 election.
Addressing the validity of Pennsylvania's results, Fetterman affirmed they were entirely valid.

"Pennsylvania … picked Joe Biden in 2020," he said. "That's a fact."
