Geely has revealed the powertrain for its new Galaxy TT sedan, which it claims can travel up to 450 miles (725 km) on a single charge using a battery pack that is notably smaller than many competitors.
The system, developed with InfiMotion, consolidates 16 drivetrain components into a single 165-pound (75 kg) unit housed in lightweight magnesium.

Geely says this design minimizes electrical losses, achieving an efficiency rating of 93.8 percent on the CLTC cycle.
Record-Breaking Efficiency
During a run around China's Qinghai Lake, the Galaxy TT averaged just 8.2 kWh/100 km, setting a Guinness World Record for the lowest energy consumption on a circumnavigation of the lake by a production battery-electric sedan.
The sedan will be offered with three battery packs: 52.4 kWh, 63.8 kWh, and 75.2 kWh.
All versions use an 800-volt architecture.

The top-tier pack delivers the 450-mile range, demonstrating that high efficiency can reduce the need for large, heavy batteries.
Geely has not released full powertrain details for all variants, but confirmed that an all-wheel-drive twin-motor version will produce up to 425 kW, enabling a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.8 seconds.
The system features AI-assisted torque management for quicker responses and a 54-channel directional cooling setup that can reduce peak motor temperatures by up to 15°C (27°F) during sustained high-load driving.

In a separate demonstration, the Galaxy TT set another Guinness World Record for the longest continuous twin-vehicle drift on a wet surface by electric vehicles, covering over 46 km (28.6 miles) to showcase torque response and thermal management.
