Porsche has expanded its commitment to motorsports by raising its shareholding in Manthey Racing by 16%.

That brings Porsche's stake in the German racing team to 67%, and both sides intend to broaden their existing collaboration.

The relationship stretches back to 1996, with Porsche having secured a 51% majority holding in 2013.

As part of the anniversary, two new special-edition Porsches are planned for release.

Two Special Models Set for October 2026

The two special-edition Porsches are scheduled to be unveiled on October 9, 2026.

The reveal is timed to Manthey's 30-year anniversary and the DTM finale at the Hockenheimring.

Porsche also used the announcement to introduce its "Home of Sports Cars."

This umbrella brings together several of Porsche's sports verticals, among them Heritage, Exclusiveness, and Performance.

Exclusiveness covers the Sonderwunsch and Exclusive Manufaktur limited editions, while Performance will now include Manthey.

Martin Raeder, joint Managing Director of Manthey Racing GmbH, described the shareholding increase as a personal mark of appreciation.

He said Manthey looks forward to deepening the collaboration further and supporting Porsche's "Sportwagenschmiede '35" strategy.

Manthey's cars race in a range of sports car series, including Germany's DTM, the FIA World Endurance Championship, and the North American IMSA championship.

The team has taken overall victory at the Nürburgring 24 hours seven times and has won numerous championships.

Manthey also supplies road-going performance kits for several Porsche models, including the 911 GT2 and GT3 RS, the 718 Cayman GT4, and the all-electric Taycan.
