Travis Kelce celebrated his 37th birthday with Taylor Swift after the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders.
The win moved the Chiefs to 4-0 before their bye week.
Kelce said the victory was the highlight of his birthday. "The best news that I got on my birthday was that we got a victory," he said.
He added that a loss would have ruined the occasion. "Losing ruins everyone's life.
Yes. That's the … worst thing to ever go down.
So if I would have lost, it would have ruined my birthday for sure."
Kelce noted birthdays are not usually a major event for him, and he did not have a birthday cake.
He instead celebrated with a meal at Torrisi, one of his favorite New York City restaurants.
"I got to hang with Tay," Kelce said.
The restaurant provided dessert despite the absence of a traditional cake, including yogurt and an espresso-shaved icing with ice cream and chocolate underneath.
"But Torrisi's got some good desserts. They brought out the entire arsenal," he said.
"It was weird. It was nice, though."
Kelce received birthday messages but declined to reveal details about his gifts when Jason Kelce asked him to tease what he had received.
This was Kelce's first birthday since he and Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden.
Adam Sandler officiated, Jason Kelce served as best man, and Swift's brother, Austin, was her man of honor.
The couple's relationship began after Kelce attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number at her Eras Tour in 2023.
By September that year, Swift was attending a Chiefs game to support him.
"Wedding was the best night of my life. I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us," Kelce said.
