The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks will wear throwback uniforms when they meet on Thursday Night Football in Week 6 at Empower Field at Mile High.
Both teams enter the matchup with identical 3-2 records.
The Seahawks arrive after a 32-29 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, while the Broncos come in following a 23-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Throwback History and Coaching Connection
According to Broncos Wire, Denver has a 5-0 record in its 1977-inspired throwback uniforms since introducing the designs during its 2024 uniform overhaul.
Seattle previously wore its throwback uniforms against Denver in 2024, a game that marked quarterback Bo Nix's first NFL start.
Broncos coach Sean Payton and Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald have also been connected by a dispute involving practice footage and offensive plays from their 2024 matchup.
Broncos Wire reported that Macdonald later apologized after his comments became public, and Payton indicated the issue had been resolved.
The matchup also recalls the 2025 season, when Denver finished as the AFC runner-up and fell short of a Super Bowl appearance.
According to Broncos Wire, Seattle would have been Denver's opponent if the Broncos had reached the championship game.
The game is scheduled for Thursday night at Empower Field at Mile High, with streaming available through Prime at 6:15 p.
