Hello Games will release No Man's Sky on iPhone and iPad on October 28, arriving as part of Apple's Indie Games Week.
The mobile version follows three years of development for Apple devices.
Apple said the iOS edition packs more than 40 major updates, including the recent Cosmos update.
Hello Games said the port runs on iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air models or newer.
According to Hello Games, the release recreates the full No Man's Sky experience.
Its universe is generated on the device during gameplay rather than stored as a collection of planetary assets.
Apple Highlights Seven Indie Titles
Apple promoted seven indie titles on iPhone and iPad alongside the launch, including Sifu, Vampire Crawlers, Little Kitty, Big City, 9 Kings, Dome Keeper, and Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall.
Carson Oliver, Apple's head of App Store Worldwide, said indie games keep pushing the boundaries of creativity to deliver unique gameplay experiences to Apple users.
He added that Apple wanted to celebrate these games and the teams that take creative risks to push gaming forward.
Hello Games co-founder Sean Murray said the iOS version is not No Man's Sky Lite.
He described it as the full universe to explore, complete with over forty major updates, including Cosmos, which came out just a few weeks ago.
Murray said it even includes ambitious updates like Voyagers from last year, which introduced the ability to build your own big rig starships.
The iOS version was designed with rebuilt touch controls and supports controllers, TV casting, and mouse and keyboard input on iPad.
The game file size is under 5GB, according to Hello Games.
The studio said it is excited to see player feedback on iOS and will support it appropriately based on how many people are playing.
Hello Games noted that planetary settlements are available only on iPhone 15 Pro models and later.
Multiplayer is not supported on iOS or iPadOS at launch.
No Man's Sky will offer a free trial before the full purchase price of $19.99.
