British actor James Norton is set to host Saturday Night Live UK on Saturday, October 17, with British band The Streets performing as the musical guest.

The broadcast will air on Sky and NOW, and promotional videos have introduced Norton to the comedy show's cast.

According to Bleeding Cool's October 14 and 15 reports, Norton took part in a table read with the cast and appeared in promotional segments featuring performers Annabel Marlow, Freddie Meredith, and Ania Magliano.

One segment plays on Norton's expressive eyes, while another features the host alongside The Streets and Magliano.

The piece with Magliano uses the initials of their names in a lighthearted information spot reminiscent of NBC's educational interstitials known as The More You Know.

The footage offers a preview of Norton's involvement before the weekend episode.

Norton is widely recognized for dramatic roles in British television, including the crime series Happy Valley and the historical drama House of Guinness.

His other screen credits include House of the Dragon, Playing Nice, King & Conqueror, Rogue Agent, and The Trial of Christine Keeler.

His performance as Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley established him as a memorable screen villain.

His role as Sean Rafferty in House of Guinness placed him in a story about the fortunes, rivalries, and secrets of Ireland's Guinness brewing dynasty.

These projects illustrate the range of dramatic productions associated with his career.

Second Series Continues with Topical Comedy

Saturday Night Live UK has continued to feature topical comedy in its second series.

The previous weekend's episode was hosted by actor Danny Dyer, with singer-songwriter Sasha Keable serving as the musical guest, according to Bleeding Cool.

The episode's opening sketch focused on tensions within the British royal family.

Freddie Meredith played Prince William, Annabel Marlow portrayed Kate Middleton, Jack Shep appeared as Prince Harry, and Ayoade Bamgboye played Meghan Markle.

George Fouracres portrayed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, while Larry Dean and Emma Sidi appeared as King Charles and Queen Camilla, respectively.

The sketch depicted a fictional family gathering in which Andrew attempted to restore his relationship with the royal family.

Its dialogue referenced the controversy surrounding Andrew's connections to Jeffrey Epstein and the removal of his royal title, while using exaggerated exchanges between the characters for political and family satire.

Sky and NOW's second-series cast also includes Hammed Animashaun, Celeste Dring, Ania Magliano, Al Nash, Paddy Young, and other performers alongside the cast members featured in the promotional clips.

The show's next announced episode is scheduled for October 24, with actor and singer Cynthia Erivo as host and indie rock band Blossoms as musical guests.

Erivo is known for projects including Wicked and Harriet, and has received Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Awards while earning three Academy Award nominations, according to Bleeding Cool.
