"You can just tell that attackers have to be especially focused when finishing," Tah explained, as quoted by Sky.
Tah stated that opponents show increased caution when approaching the penalty box due to the goalkeeper's extensive international experience.
"He didn't say anything about it at all - and then it was just the way it was," Tah revealed.
Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck supported this sentiment by praising the historical impact of the veteran goalkeeper.
"He is probably the best goalkeeper of all time," Schlotterbeck stated.
The current players also expressed that the present squad has a more realistic understanding of their actual capabilities compared to past tournaments.
"I'm really happy. It feels like I haven't been here in a very long time.
The first few days have been great, the atmosphere in the team - I'm really enjoying myself here," Musiala said.
National team captain Joshua Kimmich spoke to Sports Illustrated about his personal leadership philosophy and the realistic mindset developing within the camp.
"I have the feeling that everyone in our team knows what we can and can't do.
That everyone has also internalised what they need to contribute for us to be successful as a group.
That's the difference to previous World Cups, where we felt we were better than we actually were.
We spoke a lot about potential, but didn't translate it onto the pitch," Kimmich explained.
Kimmich emphasized that establishing individual relationships within the team guidelines helps maximize player performance.
