World Superbike rider Iker Lecuona will replace the injured Alex Marquez at Gresini Racing for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix.
Marquez was forced to sit out the Balaton Park round after a serious crash at the Catalan Grand Prix on May 17.

The upcoming race marks Lecuona's first premier class appearance since competing in Qatar in 2023.
The Spanish rider currently occupies second place in the 2026 WorldSBK championship standings.
Gresini Racing confirmed the rider lineup change on Tuesday ahead of the eighth round of the racing calendar.
"Iker Lecuona, number 27, will return to the MotoGP paddock, replacing Alex Marquez, number 73, at the Balaton Park circuit for the eighth round of the season," announced Gresini.

The event marks a milestone for Lecuona as he prepares to make his premier class debut aboard a Ducati machine.
He previously spent four seasons in Moto2 starting from 2016 before moving to the premier class with KTM and later joining Honda in WorldSBK for the 2022 season.
Lecuona is not the sole substitute on the grid for the upcoming weekend in Hungary.

Cal Crutchlow will also continue his premier class return with LCR Honda after replacing the injured Johann Zarco at Mugello.
