Nico Hulkenberg secured Audi's first points of the season with a ninth-place finish at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix on July 26.
The result moved the German manufacturer ahead of Williams into eighth place in the constructor standings.

Starting from tenth on the grid, Hulkenberg used a two-stop strategy and overtook teammate Gabriel Bortoleto and Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad in the closing stages on soft tires.
This marks Audi's third consecutive point-scoring weekend after Bortoleto's eighth-place finishes in Britain and Belgium.
Hulkenberg expressed relief after converting a strong Q3 performance into race points at the Hungaroring. "Obviously better to have points than not.
It's been a long time coming this season," he said.
The German driver noted that multiple opportunities had slipped away earlier in the year despite knowing the car's potential.
"There were many occasions and opportunities this year where it should've happened but it didn't for various reasons," he added.
Bortoleto finished 11th after attempting a one-stop strategy. He extended his opening stint on soft tires before switching to hards and struggling with degradation.
"I tried a one-stop strategy – it was tough to make it work," he said.

The Brazilian driver explained the extreme stint lengths: "I had to extend that first stint a lot and survive like 30 laps on the soft.
After that, putting on the hard, I survived another 20 laps and then after that it was pure deg."
