A large fire broke out at a food industry company in the Brieltjenspolder industrial estate in Made on Wednesday morning, leading to precautionary evacuations of nearby businesses.

Emergency services initially feared a container might explode, prompting an upgraded response. Multiple firetrucks were deployed to combat the fast-spreading flames.

and completely extinguished by noon, according to a fire brigade spokesperson.
