The World Padel League is set to expand to six franchise teams for its fourth season, scheduled from August 12 to 16, 2026, at the Dome, SVP Stadium in Mumbai.
This edition will be the largest in the competition's history, featuring 36 elite players from five countries, including Spain, Argentina, and Brazil.

The league is licensed and managed by Iconik Sports and Events Ltd., aiming to showcase top-tier international padel to Indian audiences through a fast-paced team format.
Franchises and Market Growth
The six competing franchises are the Vedanta Leopards (owned by Vedanta Group), Khan Tigers (Sohail Khan Entertainment), Panorama Panthers, Aussie Mavericks Jaguars, Game Changers Lions, and VB Realty Cheetahs.
Organizers noted that the expansion reflects significant financial growth in India's padel market.
According to the India Padel Report 2026 by Hudle and CAA Portas, the market is projected to grow from its current US$25-30 million to US$250-300 million by 2036.

The report also stated that the domestic player base surged from under 1,000 in 2022 to nearly 100,000 in 2025.
