Nottingham Forest has made a €25 million bid for Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read, according to a report from Feyenoord Transfermarkt on Thursday morning.
The Premier League side's initial offer is expected to be rejected immediately by the Rotterdam-based club, which is holding out for a significantly higher fee.

However, Nottingham Forest is anticipated to return with an improved proposal.
Feyenoord in Strong Position
The 20-year-old defender is under contract at De Kuip until mid-2029, giving Feyenoord a strong negotiating position.
Read has already made 54 appearances for the first team and is valued at around €25 million by Transfermarkt.

His performances have also attracted attention from other major European clubs, including Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Player's Stance
In an interview with Voetbal International last weekend, Read expressed his thoughts on his future.
"I haven't become champion with Feyenoord yet, that's really a goal. We're going for that this season, if it may be so," he said.

His comments suggest that staying with the Dutch club remains a strong possibility as he focuses on achieving his competitive goals.
