Toyota is preparing to launch a refreshed Avalon sedan in China, nearly four years after discontinuing the model in the United States.
Design Inspired by Camry and Crown
The updated Avalon adopts a front fascia reminiscent of the Camry and rear-wheel drive Crown, featuring C-shaped lighting units and a large grille with vertical bars.

Vertical air curtains and an angular front bumper complete the new look, while the side profile remains largely unchanged.
New 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels are expected, and the rear end gets split taillights with the Avalon badging moved to the trunk center.
The license plate recess has also been relocated to a redesigned bumper.

Powertrain and Fuel Economy
Two versions will be offered, measuring 196.5 inches and 199 inches in length.
Both feature a 150 hp (112 kW) engine, but one variant adds a hybrid system with HEV badging, boosting output to 184 hp (137 kW).

The hybrid model achieves a fuel consumption rating as low as 4.31 L/100km, equivalent to 54.6 mpg.
