Toyota is preparing to launch a refreshed Avalon sedan in China, nearly four years after discontinuing the model in the United States.

Design Inspired by Camry and Crown

The updated Avalon adopts a front fascia reminiscent of the Camry and rear-wheel drive Crown, featuring C-shaped lighting units and a large grille with vertical bars.

Vertical air curtains and an angular front bumper complete the new look, while the side profile remains largely unchanged.

New 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels are expected, and the rear end gets split taillights with the Avalon badging moved to the trunk center.

The license plate recess has also been relocated to a redesigned bumper.

Both feature a 150 hp (112 kW) engine, but one variant adds a hybrid system with HEV badging, boosting output to 184 hp (137 kW).
