Morgan's hand-built Supersport roadster has finally arrived in the United States, but American buyers will get a different engine than their European counterparts.
Instead of the BMW 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder found in European models, the US-spec Supersport uses a BMW 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The four-cylinder produces 255 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
In Europe, the standard Supersport offers 335 hp, while the Supersport 400 pushes that to 402 hp.
The US version uses the same engine as the smaller Morgan Plus Four.
Morgan secured clearance for the Supersport under the FAST Act Replica Car Rule, allowing it to be sold in the US.
The company says federal approval required extensive engineering and homologation work.

The Supersport will make its American debut at Monterey Car Week next month, with first deliveries starting in September.
Pricing and Availability
Prices start at $119,995, before adding the optional Dynamic Handling Pack. That pack includes adjustable front and rear Nitron dampers developed specifically for the US-spec car.
Standard features include lightweight 18-inch aluminum wheels.
Optional upgrades include 19-inch forged wheels, a carbon-composite hard top weighing just 43 lbs, Sennheiser audio, and a wireless phone charger.
Only 325 units can be imported annually under the FAST Act, making the Supersport a limited offering in the US market.

The hand-crafted aluminum bodywork and folding soft top remain identical to the European version. A carbon-composite hard top is also available.
