Michael Dunlop secured his first victory of the year at the Isle of Man TT, dominating the first Supersport race on Sunday.
The Northern Irish rider crossed the finish line with a winning margin of 24.470 seconds after three laps on the 37.73-mile circuit.
The win extends Dunlop's record number of career road race victories to 34. It also marks his ninth consecutive triumph within the Supersport class.
Dunlop, riding for Scars Ducati, faced a close challenge from Dean Harrison on the opening lap, leading by just a tenth of a second at the first circuit.
However, a blistering second lap gave him a 12-second advantage over the Honda rider, and he sealed the win comfortably.
Peter Hickman finished third, overcoming Paul Jordan, Josh Brookes, and Dominic Herbertson for the final podium spot.
The race was delayed from its original morning slot due to rainy weather on the Isle of Man course.
"The bike has been good all week and it never missed a beat," said Dunlop.
The victory provided redemption after he experienced mechanical issues with his Honda machine in the Superbike race earlier.
"It's good to be back here winning again and to get another win under my belt," he added.
Harrison, who won Sunday's Superbike race, acknowledged the challenge of facing Dunlop on the Ducati. "It is difficult going up against Michael on the Ducati," he said.
"I held my own on lap one but that was all I had for today.
The Honda didn't miss a beat all race and roll on later in the week."
Hickman commented on the damp track conditions following the rain delays. "The two boys in first and second were on the money.
Michael is so fast on the small bikes and he has that Ducati signing," he said.
"I don't think if I was 100% fit and it was completely dry the result would be any different, to be honest."
Dunlop enters the rescheduled Sportbike race as the favorite to secure his second victory of the week.
Meanwhile, the Superstock race originally postponed on Saturday will not take place on Tuesday evening due to ongoing wet weather.
