Ukraine Hits Russian Drone Logistics Hubs in Moscow and Tambov Regions

Ukrainian long-range military strikes targeted two key Russian drone supply hubs in the Moscow and Tambov regions on Saturday, according to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as reported by The Guardian.

The operations hit logistics complexes that Russian officials identified as online retail warehouses.

At least seven civilian workers were killed and 25 injured in the town of Kotovsk, located approximately 220 miles from the Ukrainian border.

Retaliation for Attacks on Civilian Areas

President Zelenskyy stated that the facilities were used by the aggressor to supply sanctioned components for the production of drones and navigation equipment.

The Ukrainian president explained that the tactical operations were executed in direct retaliation for ongoing Russian military campaigns directed at civilian areas within Ukraine.

"In response to Russian strikes on our civilian infrastructure and on our cities and communities, two major logistics facilities were hit – in the Moscow and Tambov regions," said Zelenskyy.

Ukrainian military analyst Serhii Kuzan provided additional operational context regarding the targeted commercial infrastructure during an interview with the BBC.
