Ukrainian drone strikes targeted Wildberries logistics hubs and energy infrastructure across Russia on Friday, July 31, 2026, resulting in at least one death and significant damage to critical facilities.
In Volgograd, Governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed that a woman's body was found in a damaged residential building after overnight air strikes.

An energy site in the region was also hit, and a major Lukoil oil refinery caught fire.
Separately, authorities in Rostov reported a civilian injury in Gukovo. In Tatarstan, competitor Ozon evacuated one of its facilities as a precaution.
Russia's Defense Ministry said air defenses intercepted 371 drones overnight across Russian territory and Crimea.
Since mid-July, Ukraine has struck more than a dozen Wildberries facilities, destroying an estimated $2.9 billion in inventory in Moscow and Tambov alone.
These attacks have reduced the company's total storage capacity by 10 percent.
Kyiv officials justified the strikes, stating that Wildberries' logistics networks are used to transport military supplies and dual-use equipment.
They also aim to weaken Russia's wartime economy and pressure its banking sector.

Wildberries founder and CEO Tatyana Kim condemned the attacks, calling them "acts of terrorism" against civilian infrastructure that disrupt commercial operations across 10 countries.
Kim announced that the company is working with government officials to minimize financial losses for nearly 100,000 affected vendors and to reroute regional delivery traffic.
"A comprehensive scheme is currently being developed to ensure that everyone receives assistance. The details of these measures will be announced in the coming days," Kim said.
She rejected claims that Wildberries sells military hardware, noting that its catalog matches standard offerings on international platforms like Amazon or Alibaba.
Kim emphasized that the drone campaign was designed to "exert pressure, destabilise the situation, and cause panic and shock among a large number of Russians."
Wildberries and Ozon together account for roughly 8.5 percent of Russia's gross domestic product and employ 4 million workers.

The Kremlin has acknowledged it may provide direct financial support to stabilize the platform economy.
