New Zealander Ryan Fox secured his first major title at the 154th Open Championship after a final-hole birdie putt gave him a closing 68 and a one-stroke victory over Cameron Young.
Fox finished at 10-under-par, becoming the first New Zealander to win the Open since Bob Charles in 1963.

He recorded a back-nine 34, including two crucial birdies in his final three holes.
Reflecting on the decisive putt on the 18th green, Fox described the intense pressure he felt.
"You can't feel your hands, I know that," he said.
He explained his mental approach on the final hole: "My focus with the putter all day was, just take a really deep breath before I hit it and just try to hit a line and I did that on 18.
I was shaking. I was just trying to get it up there near the hole."
The ball found the cup despite his nerves. "It looked pretty straight and thankfully it dived in that left edge.
It's crazy. I don't really know what to think," he said.
Earlier in the round, Fox felt surprisingly calm.

"I said to my caddie through six or eight holes: 'I feel a lot better than I thought I would feel right now,'" he said.
On the final tee, he told his caddie they were going to try to win. He hit two perfect shots and then the putt that sealed the victory.
