Owning a Bugatti Veyron comes with a hefty price tag, including tire replacements that can cost up to $42,000.

Now, Bugatti has introduced a solution that drastically reduces that expense.

The French automaker's restoration division, La Maison Pur Sang, has developed new factory wheels for the Veyron.

These 20-inch front and 21-inch rear rims allow owners to use modern tires instead of the notoriously expensive Michelin PAX system.

The new wheels reinterpret the Veyron's original Machiavelli design, preserving its iconic look while offering practical benefits.

They are compatible with the same tire sizes as the Chiron: 285/30 ZR20 at the front and 355/25 ZR21 at the rear.

Bugatti fits Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, a high-performance rubber used on models like the Chiron Super Sport and W16 Mistral.

These tires are significantly more affordable than the PAX system, with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in those sizes listed at $3,595.96 on Tire Rack.

The Catch: New Wheels Needed

However, there is a catch: owners must first purchase the newly developed wheels.

Bugatti has not disclosed their price, but given the brand's reputation, they are unlikely to be cheap.

The wheels are a one-time expense, whereas previously, Veyron owners had to replace wheels every few tire changes to ensure safety at speeds over 260 mph.

Reports suggest that could push the total cost of new tires and wheels to over $150,000.
