Winnebago has introduced the Arka, a rugged camper built on a Ram 5500 chassis, designed for extended off-grid adventures.
It can carry six people and tow up to 15,000 pounds, but its bathroom setup might test relationships.

The Arka joins Winnebago's Backcountry Series, offering up to 14 days of off-grid capability without air conditioning.
A 48-volt electrical system provides up to 16.8 kWh of battery capacity, supported by 800 watts of expandable solar and auxiliary alternator charging.
It also features a 60-gallon fresh water tank and is engineered to operate in temperatures from -23 to 49 degrees Celsius.
Hydronic heating, heated floors and tanks, and a heat recovery ventilation system help manage moisture and condensation.
Seating for Six, Sleeping for Four
Inside, the rear lounge converts into a double bed, while the cabover area can be configured with twin, queen, or king beds.

A full-height rear garage accommodates bulky gear, and the crew cab allows six to ride legally, though only four can sleep.
The main drawback is the bathroom, which is not a separate compartment but a curtained area between the living space and bedroom.
This could lead to awkward moments for those sleeping nearby.
Other campers like the Storyteller GXV Wild offer dedicated bathrooms and a lower price of $299,898, but they only sleep four and transport two.

The Arka's six-seat capacity makes it more family-friendly, despite its higher cost of $331,901.
