Daihatsu has refreshed the Mira e:S kei car in Japan, focusing on efficiency and safety while keeping the entry price at ¥1,096,700 ($6,900).
The 2026 model year brings no visual changes but introduces a more efficient 660cc three-cylinder engine.

Safety Upgrades and Simplified Lineup
The updated Mira e:S gains the latest Smart Assist driver-assistance package, including enhanced collision-avoidance braking that detects bicycles, oncoming vehicles, and pedestrians at night.
The system's operational speed threshold rises from 60 km/h to 80 km/h, and new features like Roadside Departure Warning and Sway Warning are added.

Daihatsu dropped the base B trim and replaced the G grade with a new X Limited, which adds push-button start, keyless entry, heated seats, and automatic climate control.
The most expensive Mira e:S X Limited with all-wheel drive costs ¥1,507,000 ($9,500).
New exterior colors include Ceramic Green Metallic and Grace Brown Crystal Mica, with LED headlights now standard on X and X Limited trims.
