Longtime National Anthem singer Adam Lee Decker is set to perform as the Carolina Hurricanes continue their NHL Stanley Cup playoff run in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

According to WNCT, Decker has become a distinct fan favorite during the postseason. He has spent the last nine years singing the National Anthem before Hurricanes home games.

Decker shared his pre-game routine and the sensory experience of preparing for the major playoff matchup.

"We're taking it in, we're smelling the popcorn," Decker said. "We're smelling the ice, taking in the cool…just the excitement through my body.

It means so many things to so many different people, and they trust me here, and I trust myself here, and Canes Nation, a lot of Canes Nation, is usually happy."

The performance marks another chapter in his long-running tenure with the hockey franchise as local fans gather for the postseason game.
