Lady Louise Windsor celebrated two major milestones in Scotland on Friday.
She graduated from the University of St Andrews and received her gold Duke of Edinburgh award from her father, Prince Edward, at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The 22-year-old daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh earned an undergraduate degree in English and International Relations.
Following her graduation, she revealed plans to take a gap year focusing on work, volunteering, and travel before selecting a long-term career path.
During the award ceremony at Holyroodhouse, Prince Edward highlighted the achievements of the attendees.
He gave a special shoutout to his daughter for completing the bronze, silver, and gold levels.
"We've got someone else who's actually done all three," said Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.
Lady Louise responded by reflecting on the timing of her qualifications during the pandemic. "Just about," she said.
She then explained the delay in receiving her official recognition to her father.
"I did mine mainly during Covid, so they didn't really award anything, so, nice to get it now," said Lady Louise Windsor.
The event marked the 70th anniversary of the youth scheme founded by her late grandfather, Prince Philip.
Prince Edward previously shared his own memories of receiving his award certificate from Prince Philip in 1986 within a digital scrapbook.
"Usually, my father would give the bunch of award certificates to a presenter to distribute, but this time he talked to our group, gave me my certificate and then said: 'Well, since I've given you that one, I'll give you the rest,' and handed the whole lot to me to hand out," said Prince Edward.
Lady Louise was joined at the ceremony by her boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, whom she met while studying at university.
The couple previously participated together in the St Andrews Officers' Training Corps during the St Andrews Regiments' Parade last November.
An unnamed source told HELLO!
magazine that Lady Louise remained professional during the parade and did not interact with da Silva-Clamp while in rank.
However, the couple has appeared together at multiple equestrian events, including the National Carriage Driving Championships in September 2025.
An onlooker told HELLO! magazine that Lady Louise was elated and broke into a lovely little grin afterwards.
Her graduation has prompted discussions among royal experts regarding her future role.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams stated that Lady Louise possesses enormous potential due to her charitable commitments and military interests.
