Honda has refreshed the Fit in Japan to celebrate the model's 25th anniversary.

The updated subcompact hatchback introduces a revised trim lineup and more standard features while retaining its familiar design.

New Z Trim Blends RS Style with Comfort

The mid-range Z trim replaces the previous Home grade.

It borrows the deeper front and rear bumpers from the sporty RS but uses matte black accents instead of gloss black.

The Z rides on 15-inch wheels and skips the RS spoiler, side skirts, and lowered suspension, opting for a softer setup.

Inside, it gains a leather steering wheel, heated seats, and special windshield glass for better insulation.

The entry-level X trim starts at ¥1,806,200 ($11,100) for the gasoline front-wheel-drive version. The Z trim is priced at ¥2,145,000 ($13,200).

RS and Crosstar Go Hybrid-Only

The flagship RS trim now comes exclusively with the e:HEV hybrid powertrain.

It retains the sporty bodykit with gloss black accents and 16-inch five-spoke alloys with a new finish.

Inside, the RS features black pillars and headlining, suede and leather upholstery with red stitching, and stainless steel pedals.

Standard equipment includes a 9-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, heated steering wheel, Multi-View Camera System, and Blind Spot Information.

The rugged Crosstar trim is also hybrid-only, with optional 4WD. It gains a standard heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and upgraded thermal-insulated glass for this update.

The e:HEV RS costs ¥2,899,600 ($17,900), while the e:HEV Crosstar 4WD tops the range at ¥2,955,700 ($18,200).

Mechanicals Remain Unchanged

The X and Z trims are available with both gasoline and hybrid powertrains in front-wheel drive or 4WD.

The 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder produces 116 hp and 142 Nm, paired with a CVT.

The e:HEV hybrid system combines a dual-motor setup for 121 hp and 253 Nm. The RS is the only trim without a 4WD option.

All trims retain the signature Magic Seats for flexible cargo carrying. Orders open at Japanese dealers on July 10.

Since 2001, Honda has sold over 3.25 million Fits in Japan, making it one of the brand's most popular models in the region.
