Larte Design has unveiled a virtual BMW XM finished in Lunar Lilac, a lavender shade with blue undertones.

The tuner's creation pairs that paint with a 17-piece carbon fiber body kit, all tinted in a matching purple.

The XM has drawn debate since its debut as the first model developed exclusively by BMW M since the M1.

BMW also cancelled a planned M1 successor to build the XM, adding to the controversy around the SUV.

Larte says the idea came after it shared images of a Lamborghini Urus SE in Lunar Lilac.

Several XM owners then asked to see the BMW with the same finish, according to the tuner.

Purple Carbon From Nose to Tail

The kit opens with a purple carbon splitter, grille surround, and a vented carbon fiber hood.

Flared front wheel arches and wing mirror caps continue the theme before new skirts and rear arches extend along the sides.

At the back, a purple carbon diffuser with four vertical brake lights sits with quad tailpipes trimmed in the same material.

A large roof wing and a subtle lip spoiler on the tailgate complete the rear changes.

The render also shows a matching set of purple 23-inch forged wheels.

It remains unclear whether Larte is actively building an XM to this specification.

The tuner says the kit works with the base XM, XM Label, and XM 50e models.
