The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 4-1 in NL Division Series Game 4 on Wednesday night in Atlanta to reach the NLCS for the third straight year.

Andy Pages delivered the decisive hit, a two-run single in the seventh inning that broke a 1-1 tie.

The Dodgers loaded the bases against Braves starter Tyler Mahle and reliever Didier Fuentes before Pages came through.

The win extended Los Angeles' postseason road winning streak to five games.

MLB reported the Dodgers are 10-1 in their past 11 road postseason games and 14-3 in their past 17.

The team has advanced while seeking a third consecutive World Series title.

Roberts' Faith in Pages Pays Off

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had backed Pages after the outfielder went hitless in the first two NLDS games following a left-hand fracture that limited his late regular-season availability.

"I believe in him," Roberts said.

"I feel that for us to win the World Series this year, we're gonna need him to be an active part of our team."

Pages responded with the decisive hit, which MLB noted was the Dodgers' first and only hit in 20 plate appearances with runners in scoring position during the NLDS.

The young center fielder said he was searching for a key opportunity after struggling through the opening games of the series.

"From the beginning of this series, I was looking for a moment like that," Pages said.

"You try to get a good pitch and swing at a good pitch, and I was able to do that."

MLB reported that Pages had struggled in the previous postseason, posting a .

211 OPS in at least 50 plate appearances, the lowest mark among players meeting that threshold in a single postseason.

Max Muncy later added an insurance run with his 19th career postseason home run, and Edwin Díaz recorded the save in the ninth inning for the Dodgers.

Freddie Freeman highlighted the difficulty of the series after Los Angeles eliminated Atlanta in four games.

"Every year in the playoffs, it's never easy, these are the best teams in the game, the best pitching staffs, the best offenses," Freeman said.

"This was a great series, two really really good teams going at it, and [we were] able to pull it out."

The Dodgers will face the winner of the Padres-Brewers series in the NLCS.
