A suspected chemical bombing plot drives the third episode of CBS's CIA Season 2, as a joint CIA-FBI team works to stop a terrorist cell planning an attack at an undisclosed location in New York City.
Titled "Radio Active," the episode centers on deciphering a complex code with help from a reclusive code breaker while the agents navigate personal tensions.
According to Showbiz Junkies, the episode is scheduled to air Monday, October 9, 2026, at 9 p. m.
ET/PT. Alex Berger wrote the episode, and Milena Govich directed it.
The team must work with an experienced code breaker who suffers from agoraphobia to crack a cipher described in the episode's plot as seemingly impossible to solve.
Decoding the message is central to the effort to locate and stop the planned chemical attack.
Personal Pressure Alongside the Operation
Alongside the operation, CIA Case Officer Colin Glass faces complications following Toni's return to fieldwork.
FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman, meanwhile, prepares for Katie's reaction to a recent admission, adding personal pressure to the team's professional responsibilities.
Tom Ellis stars as CIA Agent Colin Glass, while Nick Gehlfuss portrays Special Agent Bill Goodman.
Necar Zadegan plays Deputy Chief of Station Nikki Reynard, and Natalee Linez appears as CIA Analyst Gina Gosian.
The series follows a covert task force combining CIA and FBI personnel to investigate international plots, terrorist networks, and geopolitical secrets.
According to CBS's series description, the partnership pairs Glass, a secretive and unconventional CIA operative, with Goodman, an FBI agent who follows established procedures.
As Goodman adjusts to intelligence work, Glass guides him through covert operations in which information is limited and the stakes can be high.
Reynard and Gosian also contribute to the team's investigations.
Executive producers for CIA include Dick Wolf, Mike Weiss, Ken Girotti, Paul Cabbad, Alex Berger, Rebecca McGill, Kevin Plunkett, Anastasia Puglisi, and Peter Jankowski.
The series is produced under Wolf Entertainment, with Wolf serving as an executive producer.
