The October 19 Powerball drawing produced the numbers 8, 31, 32, 42 and 48, with 23 drawn as the red Powerball, according to published results reported by USA TODAY.
Lottery officials had not yet confirmed whether any ticket matched all six numbers to claim the estimated $607 million jackpot.
The prize carries an estimated lump-sum cash option of $255.7 million.
The jackpot has kept growing since an Illinois player won a $1.04 billion prize in August, USA TODAY reported.
Next Drawing and How to Play
If no ticket matched all five white balls and the red Powerball, the jackpot rolls over to the next drawing.
That drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at approximately 10:59 p. m.
Eastern Time.
The October 19 drawing also featured a 4x multiplier. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, according to the lottery's published schedule.
Tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 states, Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the U.
S. Virgin Islands.
Online purchases may also be available depending on local laws.
To enter, players pick five white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball number from 1 to 26.
A ticket must match all five white balls and the red Powerball to win the jackpot.
Players can add the Power Play option for an additional $1, which can multiply eligible non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x under the game's rules.
Participants must meet the minimum legal age in the jurisdiction where they buy a ticket, generally 18, though local requirements may vary.
Non-U. S.
residents can also claim prizes if they win, according to Powerball's published rules, and applicable taxes may affect the final amount.
