Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark was ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Portland Fire due to a back injury, according to the official WNBA injury report.
The 24-year-old had scored at least 20 points in every game this season, including a season-high 32 points against the Washington Spirit in mid-May.

Her absence marks the first time this year the Fever have played without their leading scorer.
In her last outing on Sunday, Clark posted 21 points, seven rebounds, and ten assists in a win over the Seattle Storm, shooting perfectly from the free-throw line.
With Clark sidelined, the Fever will rely on other players to fill the scoring void. Against Seattle, Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham combined for 34 points.
