University of Georgia alumnus Adam Wexler has committed a record-breaking $10 million donation to the UGA Athletic Association, the largest philanthropic gift in the history of the men's basketball program.

Athletic director Josh Brooks announced the historic commitment during an athletic board meeting in Greensboro, Georgia, on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

The funds will be directed toward personnel and operating expenses for the basketball program, with a portion allocated to the Athletic Director Excellence Fund for discretionary use by Brooks.

Wexler, a 2007 graduate of the Terry College of Business and CEO of music discovery platform The Hidden Jams, previously founded Atlanta-based company PrizePicks.

“There has never been a more interesting time in the history of collegiate athletics for donors to make a difference,” Wexler said in a statement.

He expressed hope that his contribution would inspire further financial backing from the wider university community.

“Watching my father’s lifelong connection to this university shaped my appreciation for what Georgia represents: opportunity, culture, and excellence,” Wexler said.

His father, Alan Wexler, was a prominent student-athlete and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper during his time at UGA.

Head coach Mike White emphasized the significance of the donation for the program’s future trajectory.

“Our ultimate goal is to grow Georgia basketball into a program that regularly competes at the highest levels,” White said in a statement.

The Bulldogs recently completed a 22-11 season under White, securing a tie for seventh in the SEC and making a consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
