Leeds established dominance early when Wade White touched down within the opening minutes following a half break and offload from young prop Evan Jones.

Jones quickly extended the lead by crossing under the posts from a short Seth Marchant pass.

Sonny Hetherington and Richardson added further tries to establish a 20-0 advantage after twenty minutes.

A lapse in concentration allowed Huddersfield dummy half Jude Jackson to force his way over the line at the 25-minute mark.

Woody Potter added the conversion, narrowing the halftime score to 20-6.

The Rhinos maintained control in the second half as Marchant and White combined to send Richardson over in the corner for his second try.

The winger completed his hat trick with 20 minutes remaining.
