The Atlanta Dream erased a 15-point deficit to secure an 82-80 comeback victory over the Phoenix Mercury at Gateway Center on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
The win improved Atlanta's season record to 4-1.

Atlanta executed a pivotal 10-0 run in the final two minutes to overtake Phoenix.
Jordin Canada tied the game at 75-75 with a three-point play with 1:03 remaining, and Rhyne Howard followed with a critical three-pointer to give the Dream the lead.
Howard led Atlanta with 21 points and eight rebounds.
Allisha Gray added 18 points, while Canada recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 assists, along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Reese's Double-Double and Social Media Buzz
Angel Reese posted 17 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals, despite shooting 6-of-16 from the field.
After the game, the WNBA shared a courtside photo of Reese with NBA legend Julius Erving on X, sparking fan reactions.

The Dream previously opened the season with consecutive wins before a one-point loss to the Las Vegas Aces.
