When you hear that, it doesn't take much to be convinced," Guler recalled.

While Guler remains a long-term target valued at over €100 million by Real Madrid, Chelsea is closing in on other additions.

The club has reportedly agreed to sign 21-year-old Argentina international Valentin Barco from sister club Strasbourg, marking its fifth summer signing alongside Denner, Dastan Satpaev, Geovany Quenda, and Emmanuel Emegha.

"Today I say goodbye to this club," Barco announced. The versatile left-sided prospect thanked his teammates and the Strasbourg fanbase for their support.

He also credited his former coaching staff for his development into a midfield asset.

"I always gave everything on the pitch in every game for this shirt. I want to thank my team-mates, who made everything easier for me," Barco said.

He specifically recognized the developmental impact of his managers during his time with the Ligue 1 team.

"Liam Rosenior and his staff for the confidence they showed in me and for helping shape me as a player; Gary O'Neil and his staff for understanding me and helping me improve; everyone at the club who supports us every day; and the fans for the love they always gave me.

Thank you, Strasbourg," Barco stated.

In addition to incoming talent, Alonso faces decisions regarding current squad members.

When questioned by El Chiringuito TV about the futures of heavily targeted stars like Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez, and Marc Cucurella, Alonso remained non-committal.

"Well… this is football, and we'll make a good team," he responded.

The club is also linked with an ambitious move for Liverpool's Florian Wirtz, who previously won the Bundesliga under Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen.
